Please note:Fifteen of the twenty-five chapters in this edition were originally published in previous books by Pastor Frangipane. These particular chapters were actually written over a span of twenty-seven years. They were selected because of their consistency with the theme of this book. Like the scribe who brings out of his treasure things new and old (Matt 13:52), we felt these messages added a depth to this study on seeking God. It is our prayer that, together with the ten new chapters, the message of this book will bring added substance to your already inspired life. Looking down the long corridor of time, the Lord saw the unbridled lawlessness that would confront His church at the end of the age. He warned, Because lawlessness is increased, most peoples love will grow cold Matt. 24:12. Bitterness and cold love will disqualify us from fulfilling our destiny. There is only one remedy: we must have more of God. Pastor Francis Frangipane calls the church to a focused season of seeking God. If we will genuinely, from our heart, pursue the Lord if we will persist He promises He will meet us. Indeed, with unwavering grace, God affirms our efforts saying: I will be found by you! If it is God we desire, it is God we shall surely find! Here are some quotes from the book: - Seeking God possessing a heart after God this is the key that unlocks everything.
- We have fasted and prayed, but the greatest breakthroughs have not come. Why? Perhaps we have sought Gods hand more than His face.
- Prayer is not just telling the Lord our needs; it is transferring those needs to God.
- God measures the value of our lives by the depth of our love.
- A God-seeker has been trained inwardly by the Holy Spirit so that his soul leans upon God for everything.
- The godly man has become perfectly weak, therefore God can show Himself as perfectly strong.
- To abide in Him means we live in a moment-by-moment surrender to Christ.
- The rest we seek is not a rejuvenation of our energy; it is the exchange of energy: our life for Gods, through which the vessel of our humanity is filled with the Divine Presence and all-sufficiency of Christ Himself.
