“When all this comes true – and it surely will – then they will know that a prophet has been among them” (Ezekiel 33:33)
In the Bible, watchmen were guards. They were positioned on the high walls or watchtower. They were responsible for detecting potential threats and sounding the alarm. If anybody tried approaching the city, vineyards, etc., the watchmen would warn the people.
All believers can be prophetic, but not all believers are prophets (1 Cor 14:1). The office of a prophet is a vital role in the Body of Christ. Some people are gifted with the ability to prophesy but are not necessarily prophets.
