Unanswered prayers seem to be a part of a Christian’s experience. When we pray our words create a conflict in the spirit realm. Most who teach on intercession and/or spiritual warfare tell us we are in a battle.
According to Luke 18:1-8, Jesus put prayer in a courtroom setting. Once every legal reason is dealt with that prevents the Lord from answering our prayers, the answers will come. That’s because every adversary in the spiritual realm that is resisting God’s Kingdom purposes will be forced to bow their knee to the verdict from the Court of Heaven.
Once the legal precedent is established with a verdict, the fight is largely over, but does need to be enforced. There is a day coming when the Heavenly Courtroom will be in place and the accuser of the brethren will be cast down. But until that day, we need to learn how to engage the courtrooms of heaven to enable the judge (our Heavenly Father) to make a verdict on our behalf!
